G N Law Associates is a law firm established by Shri. G. Natarajan, Advocate, on 1st April 2022. We provide services primarily in the domain of indirect taxes (Customs, GST and other legacy indirect levies) in the form of representation before various forums (from adjudicatory level and up to higher judiciary, viz., High Courts and Supreme Court); assistance in compliance with the legal provisions and undertaking due diligence reviews in the above domain and offering legal opinions.
GN Law Associates is currently functioning from the city of Chennai in the State of Tamil Nadu in India and undertakes its practice in the entire territory of India.

Shri. G. Natarajan, founder of G N Law Associates was enrolled
as an Advocate in the year 2003, after having served in the
Central Excise department for 10 years. He is also an
Associate Member of the Institute of Cost and Management
Accountants of India. Before commencing his independent
practice from 01.04.2022, he was a senior partner in the
leading law firm M/s Swamy Associates, since 2003.
He is an erudite writer in the domain of indirect taxes
subject and more than 500 of his incisive articles have
already been published in the leading portals and magazines on
taxation, namely,
taxindiaonline, taxmann, taxsutra, taxscan,
taxmanagementindia, ELT, etc.
His advocacy skills are well known, which reflect in many of
the reported judgements argued by him.
He is also the author of a book titled “Demystifying GST for
Construction Industry”, published by Oakbridge Publications,
New Delhi.
He regularly gives presentations / lectures on Indirect Taxes,
including GST, before various industrial forums, professional
forums, Government Departments, etc. He also mentors various
young professionals, who intend to pursue tax as their career.

Shri. G Natarajan’s second book is “Handbook on GST Amnesty
Schemes 2024” which is a compilation of statutory provisions
relating to two major amnesty schemes under GST introduced in
2024. The book also contains a detailed FAQ by the author
dealing with the intricacies of the schemes.

Demystifying GST for the Construction Industry
In 2019, Mr. G. Natarajan, authored his first book titled
“DEMYSTIFYING GST FOR THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY”. This book
traces the history of taxation in the field of construction
and analyses important judgments in this regard. The major
part of the book delves upon the construction industry’s
position in the post-GST era. Published by Oakbridge, this
book includes an introduction written by Senior Advocate,
Shri. Arvind P Datar and a foreword written by Hon’ble Justice
Shri. T. S. Sivagnanam, the then Judge of the Hon’ble Madras
High Court. The 2nd edition of the book was released amidst
the Covid-19 lockdown, in 2020 and the third edition is
expected soon.
